Goals

The goal for the Epicenter Community project was to showcase the excellent programming which promotes authentic diversity. With great content, imagery, videos, and online stories; they wanted to let the world know that people are doing great work in communities within and around Boston. A secondary goal was to enable users who agree with and support the Epicenter Community core values to contribute financially. All aspects of the site needed to be easily updated and built on a platform that could be expanded on in the future.

Solution

Cloud Construct set out to help the Epicenter Community team in crafting a Content Management System (CMS) that would give them the ability to add new pages and new experiences in the future. Additions and updates would allow fresh content to be shown to users and deliver important messages about the community. For ease of deployment and management, we architected the site on Orchard CMS and hosted it on Windows Azure. A secure donation form was built to provide an easy way for users who support the Epicenter Community core values to contribute financially.

Our design team, along with the Epicenter Experience team, gave us the vision and content to create the design needed for this great organization. The site consists of a large amount of fantastic multimedia content that can be edited by the Epicenter Community team going forward.

The project was completed on an accelerated timeline in support of a launch party deadline, launched in Spring 2016. Providing non-profits a custom, professional, platform they can leverage to start and scale with the organization is a core value of Cloud Construct and something that we have been doing for over 5 years. We are thrilled to be a part of another up-and-coming startup local to Boston.
